Summit's House of Helping Hands

Summit wanted to support those who are facing homelessness and highlight how fortunate our students are so we decided to build a ‘House of Helping Hands’. Each student could carry out an act of kindness to their family/friends/local community and have their initials placed on one of the ‘bricks’. It was a great way of engaging everyone and a visual representation of how all acts, however small, can create things when you work together and support one another.

Acts ranged from helping others pack their shopping at the supermarket or giving up their seat on the bus for an elderly passenger to baking sweet treats for neighbours.

We are looking forward to supporting a local charity and raising further awareness.
